A Houston man was recently jailed on felony drug-related charges after School Resource Officers reportedly found him asleep in his car outside Dawson High School.

According to Pearland Police officials, a concerned citizen alerted officers that a car was parked across two disabled parking spots with the driver’s side tire over the curb around 8:40 a.m. Friday (Sept. 4). Upon their arrival, the officers reportedly found a man asleep at the wheel of a tan Mitsubishi Galant, which they also discovered was still in gear.

After placing the car in gear, the officers were able to identify the man as Demarco Glover, 44, of Houston.

Police then found Glover had several outstanding warrants from Harris County Precinct 7. After Pearland EMS workers checked Glover’s physical condition, he was taken to the Pearland Police Department Detention Facility.

During the booking process, officers reportedly noticed several loose pills in his pants pocket which were suspected to be Hydrocodone and Carisoprodol.

Glover was charged with two felony counts Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone. He was later transported to the Brazoria County Jail where he remains in custody on bonds totaling $8,400.
