Subway robbery suspects arrested

Robbery

On Saturday (Jan. 20), at approximately 5:50 p.m., Pearland Police were dispatched to a report of Robbery in Progress at the Subway located in the 2700 block of E. Broadway.

Two males, Rashaad Jacoby Jones, 24, and Reginald Wayne Bryant, 23, had entered and robbed both the business and customers at gunpoint. After taking cash, wallets and cell phones, the pair entered a white Dodge Challenger and were last seen headed east on Broadway.

Officers located the suspects traveling eastbound near the 1300 block of E. Broadway. Upon seeing the police, the suspect vehicle fled north on Shauntel where three suspects bailed out of the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. The driver, Roderick Darnell Babin, 24, was taken into custody at the vehicle.

Police established a perimeter in the area and located Bryant a short distance away, hiding in a ditch. The Houston Police Department’s Fox Helicopter unit, an HPD K-9 unit as well as a K-9 Unit from Friendswood PD were dispatched to the area to assist with the search for the final suspect.

Jones was tracked to the 2700 block of Janet where he was taken into custody at approximately 7:13 p.m.

All three suspects have been charged with three counts of Aggravated Robbery, which are First Degree Felonies, as well as Evading Arrest.
