At approximately 10:15 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 12), Pearland Police received calls of shots fired in the 2200 block of O’Day Road. As officers were checking the area, a resident pointed out a mobile home located at 2241 O’Day. Officers contacted the resident at that mobile home and confirmed that a male had been firing a weapon. Seven uninvolved persons exited the home, but the male refused to come out.

The SWAT team was mobilized and set up a perimeter. Residents in the adjoining mobile homes were evacuated.

The suspect was taken into custody around 12:45 p.m. without further incident.
