The Brazoria County Narcotics Task Force (BCNTF) seized two kilograms of cocaine and arrested three individuals in the 11000 block of Shadow Creek Parkway on Wednesday (March 2) at approximately 5:30 p.m. The arrests were made in the Kroger parking lot.
The recovered cocaine had a wholesale street value of $60,000. A loaded semi-automatic Springfield 9mm handgun was also located and seized from the suspects during the arrest.
Javier Mora Hernandez, 29, Salvador Carranza-Velazquez, 35, and Gregorio Almazan-Castro, 30, were arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Almazan-Castro was also charged with the Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Two kilograms is about equal to five pounds of cocaine.
“Hopefully, with this seizure, we’re keeping more kids safe from the dangers of drugs and making it harder for addicts,” said Lt. Chris Reioux of the BCNTF. “We’ll continue to work to make Brazoria County a safer place to live.”
